CBDa, scientifically known as Cannabidiolic acid, is a naturally occurring, non-psychoactive compound that facilitates chemical reactions to create CBD in hemp.

Cannabinoids from the hemp plant come in two forms: active and acid form. CBDa is one of the naturally occurring acids that when exposed to heat loses its acid molecule and is transformed into CBD. The amount of CBD in a raw plant is negligible unless it has been heat treated to help break down into CBD.
