Sunmed is incredibly proud to announce its official partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We couldn't be more honored to join forces with such an impactful non-profit organization as NBCF. This October, our collaborative efforts will focus on empowering communities with hope, support, and resources for those affected by breast cancer.
Sunmed’s primary goal with NBCF is to advocate for early detection awareness. According to the American Cancer Society, when breast cancer is detected early and remains in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%. Together, we can take actionable steps to inform our communities and save millions of women’s lives.
Across 41 states, select Sunmed store owners will be planning early detection awareness community events, with information to be available on our @getsunmed social media pages. We’ll also be raising donation funding through both online and in-store initiatives: from October 1, 2023, to October 31, 2023, your purchase of an online Sunmed product will result in a 3% direct donation to NBCF. In-store customers will have the opportunity to purchase a ‘pink sticker’ Sunmed product, resulting in a $1 NBCF donation.
Through educational events, donation funding, helping hands, and words of hope, Sunmed hopes to empower health and wellness in local communities while actively supporting NCBF’s vision — that no one will have to navigate breast cancer alone.
Our mission to change lives starts with you. NBCF offers extensive early detection education, including resources for monthly breast self-exams, regular clinical breast exams, and mammograms. We encourage you to download these free NBCF E-books below and take small steps to educate your family, friends, and community members on the importance of early breast cancer detection.
Over the last decade, NBCF has provided over 192,000 mammograms, over 858,000 patient navigation services, and over 240,000 breast health education services to women in need.
